    Description

Several months after the passage of the Mint Act of 1792, Thomas Jefferson deposited in silver that went towards the first federal coins struck for circulation. From that silver came 1,500 examples of the nation's first coinage, the 1792 half disme. This example is as problem-free as they come, with nice original surfaces. The centering and overall make gives it a bold appearance.
