Description

First generation 1995 COLNAGO C40 ART DECOR FRAMESET (
headset shown in the photos is NOT INCLUDED
). Seat tube measures 56.5cm. center-to-top (measured center of bottom bracket to top tip of seatpost clamp) or 54cm center-to-center seat tube and top tube, or "54cm. square". Carbon fiber main frame tubes joined to carbon fiber lugs. Colnago "Precisa" fork is constructed of steel with a 1" threaded steerer tube (
Campagnolo RECORD headset shown in the photos is
NOT INCLUDED
). Includes its original COLNAGO alloy seatpost clamp and a pair of downtube cable adjusters. Accepts a 28.0mm diameter seatpost and the rear dropout spacing measures 130mm.  Italian threaded bottom bracket shell threads are in perfect undamaged condition. Braze-on front derailleur mount plus two (2) sets of bottle cage bosses. I personally rate it in good original used condition (sold as is with no warranty as it is a used frameset).
Two (2) of the top tube brake cable guides (front and rear) were repaired as the originals became detached. These nicely fabricated guides very closely match the original center guide.
The handsome "Art Decor" paint/clearcoat has some minor scratches/chips present but nothing really major.  Some typical cable rub to head tube on both sides.
