Also, sometimes big or awkwardly shaped items may not be able to go in the same box. I do not ship on Sunday. If you feel shipping is too high, remember that the
west coast is very costly from my location in Illinois
. Also, I try not to use the USPS flat rate priority boxes since these usually cost more than using priority mail based on weight. However, when shipping heavy items, it's often a better deal to use the flat rate boxes. Items under 16 oz can go first class.
It sometimes is cheaper to send multiple items separately through first class than combined through priority
. I can use parcel post as well, especially for heavy items, but it is slower. I mail out promptly, usually in a day or two, and a tracking number is sent to you automatically.
