Description
Not many frame builders reach their 50th anniversary of frame building. Colin began as an apprentice for the Taylor brothers in the 30's. He took a long break during WWII, it's said he used to carry a bike with him strapped to the tank. In 1951/52 He started building frames in earnest. He has built countless frames for countless professionals over the years. This bike is called the Golden Jubilee. It was built in 2001/2002 and is his 50th anniversary frameset.
Built with Columbus Max tubing. This frame is a 56 cm square (TT and ST) Headtube measures 137
This is a very rare frameset indeed. Colin intended to build 100 of these anniversary bikes, but due to his health he was unable to. Only a couple of them were ever built.
The condition on this bike is very good. It has a few small scratches and a rub mark on the inside of the chainstay.
The 1" Columbus Muscle fork is the original that came with this frame. This frame was ridden by a local pro for about a year before being hung up on display. It has low miles and it shows.
