PARTS DIAGRAM THEN THIS IS THE CORRECT SPOOL FOR YOUR MOTOR.
This sale is for a new, never used original equipment recoil starter spool and shaft (see part #15 in diagram above). These recoils spools were used on many different years and models of outboard motors made for Montgomery Wards. If your starter looks like the schematic above odds are this is the recoil starter spool you need. This also replaces the white plastic spools.  If in doubt send me an email or call with your make and model number and I will try to verify. For sure fits all 8 thru 15 hp models made from 1976 to 1987 and many 6, 20 and 25 hp too. Comes with instruction sheet.
